Plus I love the understated elegance from designer Andrea Hawkes delicious silk jumpsuit, a welcome alternative to A-typical wedding dresses. Plus the flora bursts of nature will have you at hello. The blooms by Boom Blooms are to DIE for.
This dream team had a desire to provide a shoot to inspire the modernist and artful couple. And whoop, here it is. They achieved this and beyond.
Read on for the low-down and enjoy the beautiful imagery from Luisa Starling and chic video by Frankie Lowe.
At the heart of this editorial was the desire to curate an inspiration shoot which would explore ethereal boldness for the modernist couple. A couple who design their day to be fashion forward and artful in an understated, yet impactful, way. They are very much city devotees but have an inherent love of nature at their core. We chose a palette of earthy muted tones to contrast with vibrant accents of vermillion and deep chocolate hues. Diversity and inclusion was key to our concept.
The Arts Pavilion was the perfect canvas. It is an ultra modern, chic, gallery space, in thriving urban East London, with a pure white interior. It has clean lines and curves which create a dramatic space bathed in light and shadow. The modernism of the Pavilion interior contrasts, and complements perfectly, its lush green grounds, abundant with flora and fauna, manicured and wild. And there are swans!
This juxtaposition is a welcome distraction from hectic city life.
Our designers, Andrea Hawkes Bridal and Paper to Lace, created pieces which are timelessly classic and modern. Andrea Hawkes’ silk jumpsuit and trouser combinations would speak to a bold woman who knows herself and is confident to be different.
Paper to Lace’s ethereal cape added a dreaminess and their jacquard biker jacket oozed with edgy boldness.
Pen And Fold designed bespoke laser cut, contemporary, exceptionally cool, and exciting stationery with ethical context in that it is made of recycled coffee filter papers. Anncherie cakes designed a towering masterpiece with a ghost tier adorned with blooms. Boom Blooms created the floral arrangements incorporating vivid anthurium, preserved foliage and bracken, luneria, pampas, fra- grant tuberose and eucalyptus and the gentle ranunculus. Silk and Purl provided the beautifully hand dyed silks ribbons and linens.
