What comes to mind when you hear the word tradition? Boring? Uncreative? Obligatory? It doesn’t have to be any of that. When planning a wedding, […]
There’s something so special about an intimate wedding, isn’t there?
Meet the very beautiful Chibuzo and Teslim, whose Autumn wedding day was exactly what they hoped it would be: small, classic, and filled with love!
Chibuzo and Teslim met in high school when they were both in Nigeria in 2004 and have been friends ever since!
Everything – from their attire to the post-ceremony celebrations – was low-fuss, but utterly perfect. Following their intimate ceremony in a Vancouver park, the gorgeous couple laughed through their photo shoot with their dearest friends, then closed out the evening by enjoying board games together. Whatever the result, I’d say they both won!
These delightful images of their special union were captured by photographer, Erica Miller.
Teslim proposed while we were on a mini-vacation to Maui in August 2017. I knew it was coming but I still cried lol. He read me a poem he wrote to me at the beginning of our relationship, went on one knee and asked me to be his wife! I freaked out a bit before finally saying yes!
We both wanted a wedding that was small, classic and filled with love. We had our closest friends our officiant and our photographer Erica Miller present, who we thoroughly recommend who made us feel very comfortable during the ceremony and photo session!
My husband picked my outfit, funny enough! I was a bit skeptical about it at first but it fit me so well.
His suit was a random/unplanned but worthy buy from Zara a few days before the wedding.
We had the ceremony on a semi-cloudy day in Vanier Park, Vancouver, BC. It was absolutely precious and beautiful.
And No, I didn’t cry, but I was close! We had four of our close friends in attendance, as well as the photographer and officiant from Young, Hip and Married . (who were absolutely phenomenal)
My favourite moments were laughing with my husband and friends during the photoshoot! It was really fun! Also, playing board games later that night with the same group of friends. And of course, saying I do with a big smile on my face!
