The concept came from my love for pink and the colour of the sky one evening as I watched the sun go down. The concept is a classic style with a feminine and theatrical mood. We wanted to express romance with the softness of the pale pink linens, opulent rose compote floral arrangements

There’s an element of dance we wanted to bring into the styling, the bespoke bridal gown designed by luxury designer Audrey Ashley Couture, created specifically for this shoot was hand dyed to get the exact colour to match our theme. The handkerchief skirt is made of 6 layers of soft tulle and the sweetheart bodice is hand-draped to give a stunning woven effect and is finished off with a silver goldwork and diamanté trim. Paired with pink embellished signature Emmy London peep toe shoe hand beaded with Swarovski crystals worked perfectly with the gown.
To show all the spectacular details of the dress, the bride’s hair is swept into an elegant top bun accessorised with a delicate jewelled comb.
Makeup kept natural with a nude lip and mild brown eye palette that brought out the colour of the model’s eyes. We opted for full brows – using an eyebrow pencil to achieve this the neutral cut crease eye look, using medium to dark shades of brown and a neutral shade as close to the model’s skin tone and placed on the lid area of the eyes, finished off with black eyeliner and full lashes.
We kept the foundation medium to full coverage to achieve a glam look – a strong contoured technique was used. To finish off the look we applied a nude lip colour with a hint of pink/brown the face was set with a setting spray.
Our venue, the Sparrowhawk Pub was chosen for its classic charm and the magnificent light beams that burst through the floor to ceiling windows.
Re-create the look
When deciding on a concept for your wedding styling, there are many places to draw ideas from. It could be anything from past holidays, interests you share as a couple or just as we did, simply the colour of the sky!
Simplicity was key for this wedding style. We wanted to accent the small details to make the wedding style interesting.
The venues original fireplace is a beautiful feature, so we used greenery to bring the outside in and frame it creating a garden look, with candles to add a sensual mood to the room, mirrored by a candelabra centerpiece designed to have the look of a growing vine with an array of roses.
We used satin linens on the couples table with wooden King and Queen armchairs. The stationery presented on the long guest table laid at each place setting complemented the layered plates and lettering matched the monogrammed luxury wedding Cake.
To recreate the bridal look the key is simplicity. We opted for a slick bun up-do with a mini quiff – which is easy to achieve. For the makeup, we went for a neutral yet dramatic cut the crease bold look.
