Say hello to the delightful Eben and Onuma!
You may recognise this gorgeous pair from their Primrose Hill engagement shoot featured on Nu Bride a few weeks ago.
Eben and Onuma met on their morning commute and married on the 14th April last year. So please join me in helping them celebrate their 1st year wedding anniversary and bringing a little bit of Spring to your day!
Eben and Onuma married at timeless 18th century stately manor in Surrey, Northbook Park with their nearest and dearest and celebrated their marriage by honouring their Christian faith.

Our wedding theme was Modern/Rustic. ..Because we would like to think that we are both “Fresh” and a bit “old school”
I had ZERO problems finding inspiration for our wedding day, I had my wedding ideas planned out for years…lol 🙂
We chose Ilaria Petrucci. to capture our day and would absolutely recommend her.
We would also like to give a special shout out to our caterers (Favour catering), Wedding Planner (ROE weddings) who also did a great job.
Determined to find a dress in a day so I could move on to something else, I found the dress on the same day with the help of my niece, Tumi , My two sisters, Unini & Oboro, my closest cousin, Tekaya and 5 of my oldest friends Bola, Ope, Ololade, Olaitan, (chipping in from the U.S Via Whatsapp) & Funmi (chipping in from Nigeria Via Whatsapp). (Nu Bride: squad goals!) It was a gorgeous modern/ trumpet dress with detachable off shoulder straps.
Onuma: My suit was the perfect shade of Navy Blue. It’s my favourite colour. I found it at Moss Bros with the help of my brother-in-law Emafiye Adebayo
When Eben was walking down the aisle that had to be my favourite moment of our wedding ceremony. She looked so beautiful.
Our ceremony was short, simple and religious. It was important for us to honour our Christianity and that formed the foundation of our wedding ceremony. That and some amazing hymns!
Our wedding was in the spring, so we wanted a fresh spring look with a hint of “rustic-ness”. We didn’t want any clutter as we wanted to take advantage of the awesome natural light in the background. (and that you did!)
We decided to have a sweetheart table so just the two of us and it allowed us to sit back and take it all in. I really enjoyed “guest watching” from our sweetheart table and seeing our families and best friends come together and chatting away at the reception.
One of the funniest moments during our wedding ceremony was the speeches, Onuma’s speech was awesome. It was hilarious and also so emotional
For me (Omuna) the funniest moment of our wedding day had to be the dance off between mine and Eben’s Friends
Our first dance was completely magical. We danced to Aerosmith’s “I don’t want to miss a thing” and Mocheedah’s “Destinumbari”
Challenges and Triumphs
None that we can think of or remember now. Most of our vendors where near perfect!
Top tip to other couples?
The suppliers on the venue’s suppliers list are there for a reason. The best thing we did was use most of them as they come highly recommended by the venue and they have worked with each other in the past so that really helps to keep things moving smoothly on the day.
