Delighted to announce that I have been invited to mentor some extraordinary women at Women of the World (WOW) Festival for the 4th year running at London Southbank Centre this week as part of International Women’s Day – the largest global festival that celebrates women and girls all over the world, including talks, debates, live seminars, mentoring, shared experience, art, creativity, live music and more.

WOW Festival is completely SOLD OUT! (I know, I know, I’m sorry!)

THINGS TO DO

BUT this doesn’t mean you can’t take part in events locally over the weekend  most are free or heavily discounted and are hugely inspirational – do have a look here to find out some inspiring, moving and important initiatives, from workshops, to creativity to empowering talks, being carried out by phenomenal women nationwide with the theme  #pressforprogress

Press for Progress

The theme this year that coincides with the centenary of the first wave of women who had the right to vote is Press for Progress and with global movements for women’s equality fuelled by universal initiatives like #MeToo, #TimesUp and more to callout in-equality and abuse– there is strong global momentum to better strive towards parity and Press for Progress is set to help us continue momentum with striving towards gender equality.

So whilst we cannot ignore there have been some great strides and an inspiring movement towards equality in 2018, we have a long way to go and we must not become complacent, we must not lose momentum or hope, or motivation. So on behalf of every woman who stood up to confronted oppression and inequality before me, who weren’t frightened to speak up and be complicit. I thank you. We are where we are today – because of women who were not afraid to be disruptors. And as founder of Nu Bride, I am proud to be a disruptor.

SO! This international women’s day I  encourage you to celebrate you. To keep going. To lift yourself up today. We lift others up with EASE – but how often do we celebrate our own successes, our strength, our achievements, talent? Start today. You are remarkable.
