While some of you may love having a starlet-style glam squad on hand to make you look your best on your wedding day (and I’d always […]
Delighted to share some simple, bridal beauty looks to inspire your wedding day inspiration.
This theme behind this elegant shoot was to create simple, natural, understated bridal looks with a focus on capturing the beauty their gorgeous bride for the day, Laûren. The looks were created by hair and make up artist, Sophie Cooke of The Bridal Stylist, signature understated dresses by Kate Edmondson Bridal, natural light photography beautifully captured by Eva Tarnok Photography at Cannizaro Park Wimbledon. The simplicity of these two bridal looks paired with an oversized bouquet featuring all white flowers (including peonies, stocks, veronica, scabious, nigella, spiraea and ferns) by Flowers by Eve is modern, yet perfectly timeless.

We wanted to create a soft look for the make up.
I used a spritz of Mac Fix+ to initially prep & refresh my model’s skin as it was an extremely hot day.
My choice of foundation was Bobby Brown Skin Foundation sticks which have a wide selection for all skin tones. I wanted to give our model a healthy glow to her skin and used the Diorskin Nude Tan Golden Shimmer Powder which complemented her skin tone perfectly.
I wanted to keep the eyes and lips fairly neutral, I created natural definition around the eyes using my Bare Minerals Round the Clock black eyeliner & combined with a natural pinky/plum shade on her lips, I chose Estee Lauder Envy Lipstick Pinkberry
My model had unruly curly hair; so I wanted to work with her existing hair type and accentuate its volume and bounce.
I did this by setting her hair in heated rollers. I used John Frieda’s new Frizz Ease 6 Effects Serum to tame, hydrate & eliminate frizz. I swept into a side parting and sprayed a light dusting of Fudge Skyscraper hairspray for a flexible hold for a soft feminine look.
