Urban Chic Wedding Inspiration Editorial Shoot | Jay Emme Photography

I have some delightful wedding inspiration to tease you today brought to you by Alegrar Events  and captured by the talented Jay Emme Photography

This chic, colour-popping wedding inspiration was inspired by wedding planner and stylist Cynthia of Alegrar Events .

Cynthia, has a real passion for fusing tradition with a hint of something unconventional  and wanted to show couples how you can create something elegant with an urban background and boy, does she do it well.

With a talented team of suppliers on board to bring this clever fusion of red, peach, teal, fuchsia and forest green to life, this shoot also demonstrates how you can be effortlessly bold with your wedding day palette and still remain elegant. One of the elements that had me at hello was that this shoot even features a couture dress created by London designer Audrey Ashley Couture  and bespoke jewellery by Annaliese Rivers Bespoke Bridal Jewellery   specifically for the shoot, modelled beautifully by Katja.  Delightfully elegant.

It is, as ever a delight to move away from obvious pastels and see the use of tastefully executed vibrant wedding inspiration.

Over to the extremely delightful Cynthia from Alegrar Events to be  inspired!

Inspiration Behind The Shoot

I like the idea of doing traditional things a bit unconventionally. London is blessed with so many unconventional urban spaces and I wanted to showcase that you can have a sophisticated wedding in unconventional urban setting and still put your stamp on it.

Antenna studios was the backdrop for this chic shoot as it had the blank canvas effect that I was looking for combined with the a bit of character as well with it’s old world charm.

Colour, a bit like style, makes us feel and express ourselves non verbally, and so going along with our unconventional theme, I decided to infuse bold colours of reds, peaches, teal, fuchsia and forest green to the shoot and showcase that bold colours can be tastefully incorporated into your wedding palette. It’s a great way to put your own personal stamp on your big day too.

Sticking to our unconventional theme, we chose a rose gold, champagne and gold wedding dress, a glam bespoke dress made specially for the shoot by Audrey Ashley Couture. Annaliese Rivers Bespoke Bridal Jewellery made the gold vine headpiece and hand bracelets that perfectly complemented the gold vine leaves on our bespoke dress.

For hair inspiration, we chose an undo of tight curls in a chiffon style for our model bride, her gorgeous red hair and skin tone complemented our rose gold dress. We chose a simple ‘au naturale’ makeup palette with eye enhancements to create an understated elegant look.

Our tablescape was an explosion of carefully curated colours against a gold backdrop.

I chose clear chargers to complement our gold plates that gave a lush feel to our tablescape.  Hand calligraphy menu cards, gold cutlery and crystal gold rimmed glassware made up our opulent and chic tablescape.

We added in vibrant florals of green foliage, red roses, peaches and purple tones with cerise and teal favour boxes that worked so well to lift our mostly gold table.

Recreate The Look

To recreate the look, choose vibrant florals of seasonal flowers that will make an impact for your guests and give it that lush feel of ultra glam.

I love the versatility of chivari chairs for a reception, so perhaps have your florist create flower loops for the back of your chairs for a different feel to your top table.

Also, if you’re feeling a little adventurous and have some spare time, hand paint your favour boxes in your colours and tie with shimmery silk ribbons for a look that blends in with the rest of your palette and theme.

Thank you so much for such chic and vibrant wedding inspiration Cynthia and team!
