I had the pleasure of being invited to charming British couture designer for the Royals; Stewart Parvins’s 20th anniversary and launch of his beautiful new 2016 bridal collection.
The intimate bridal salon in Knightsbridge, gave a wonderful first look at Stewart’s hot new collection. Stewart outdone himself as usual with a refreshing dose of city chic, sophisticated and luxury designs and I welcomed the new accents for brides to personalise their chosen dress.
The boutique was bustling and it was lovely hearing and seeing the infectious energy from Stewart post show, about the last minute backstage wonders that occur!
Enough from me have a gorgeous peek !
Acclaimed bridal and fashion designer, Stewart Parvin, has enjoyed 20 years at the forefront of British couture design. His career has seen some incredible achievements to date, most notably his Royal Warrant of Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen. To celebrate 20 years of the Stewart Parvin label, the luxury designer has created an exquisite 2016 collection, true to his signature sophisticated and understated look.
The Stewart Parvin 2016 Bridal Collection was unveiled on Friday, 15th May 2015. The intimate salon privé style launch evoked the chic ambience of the 1950s Parisian couture shows, where an exclusive guest list of wedding industry professionals and press enjoyed a first look at the new gowns.
The collection, while maintaining all of the sophisticated elegance of previous Stewart Parvin designs, explores the use of new fabrics and laces combined with newly honed shapes and silhouettes. Soft silk crepes drape beautifully with an air of the informal; distinctive, breath-taking laces set the aesthetic apart from past collections. The result is a collection of masterfully constructed gowns, designed for a sublime fit and using only the finest materials.
The new collection represents a departure from the traditional and classically bridal Alencón laces used previously. The tone of the collection certainly captures Stewart’s chic, understated aesthetic, for which he is so well known and this season focusses on flattering A-line silhouettes and soft fluidity, creating a distinctly relaxed look. Louisa Shipstone, Senior Brand Manager
In addition to the made-to-measure service which is available to all Stewart Parvin brides through the label’s own flagship London boutique or through stockists nationwide, stand out hand finishing techniques will be offered on a selection of the gowns outside Stewart Parvin’s showroom for the first time.
Every collection we produce remains completely true to Stewart’s hallmark design style. Even as this year, we have a slight departure from the grand formality of previous years, each gown is still undeniably part of the brand. His aesthetic is quite literally stitched into the fibre of each dress. As with all of Stewart’s collections, the quality of construction and design is second to none. Louisa Shiptone, Stewart Parvin.
Stewart Parvin houses his womenswear collection in Motcomb Street, whilst bridalwear has its own flagship store on Beauchamp Place.
A collection of wedding gowns is also available at a selection of hand-picked independent bridal retailers throughout the United Kingdom, and internationally as far afield as New Zealand and Japan.
