Now how can I take you into Valentine’s week without a little romance to inspire you.
I often get sent through lots of gorgeous bridal styled shoots, but this is the first styled engagement session I’ve received and I adore it.
So chic, so simple and stylish and the incredible RED Eliza Jane Howell dress had me at hello!
Engagement shoots are a great way to celebrate your engagement, to have your pictures taken to cherish actually ‘being engaged’. How often do you get to dress up and have decent pictures of you and your beau that aren’t taken on your way out via a fuzzy selfie on your iphone?
Aside from this, they are a GREAT way to warm you up in front of the camera before your wedding day and more and more couples in the UK are realising the benefit (and fun!) of an e-shoot and are starting to get creative with their e-sessions, for example; gorgeous Nu Bride couples here here and here!
This gorgeous chic engagement styled shoot was captured by the incredibly talented (and equally bubbly) Sanshine Photography and put together by designer and stylist Charlotte Munroe. I LOVE how the colours jus ‘pop’ against the otherwise dull and grey backdrop of London city.
Engagement shoots are becoming more and more popular with couples in the UK. Internationally, there is an emerging trend of formal styled engagement shoots incorporating themes, hair and makeup, jewellery and props all brought on board, which is something both San and I thought could be brought to the UK market. We decided to create a shoot to inspire brides and grooms on the possibilities of styled engagement shoots and that you can be as extravagant as you want them to be! (Also they’re a great trial run for your big day!)
We held the shoot in the beautiful quiet streets and around Temple station in London. The shoot has a real British city chic feel to it.
Sanshine Photography Says:
We wanted to showcase a bold and fashionable London couple in a city environment that isn’t obvious. Both Charlotte and I liked the idea of the contrast of a grey city surroundings and a bold red gown – it’s a very striking look and the addition of a blue suit made the couple stand out even more.
