Cannot believe it’s almost a year ago since the very first Wedding Blog Awards!
The Wedding Blog Awards are a fantastic way to acknowledge and celebrate some of the greatest UK wedding bloggers, from bijou, niche and new, to legendary and taking over the world.
With a whopping 88% of us searching for our wedding inspiration online, bloggers are a phenomenal and powerful force in the wedding industry and the talented team at Wedding Magazine recognise this. Wedding bloggers update readers with fresh new ideas, new and credible suppliers, designs, events and launches constantly, sharing lots of advice from our own experience or otherwise, creating a platform that speaks to the individual.
Wedding blogs were a HUGE inspiration for me when I was planning my own wedding and continue to be now. (shhh, don’t tell the hubs!) They are great at helping you find specific inspiration for your day. From the outside it might seem easy, but serious blogging is HARD work and the awards are a great opportunity to have that hard work honoured and a chance for you to have your say and acknowledge those who have inspired you in some way.
If you missed the lo-down last year you can catch up here. In brief, I was elated to be nominated as a finalist in the best wedding newcomer category, which meant I got to don a rather gorgeous saucy House of Tammam dress, at the Ritz. It was an incredible experience. I was very nervous and very humbled to be in a room full of blogging superstars and wedding industry talent. Sadly I missed out to the talented team at Wedding Sparrow who are absolutely flying the flag for quality fine art photography, but have since been recognised as an upcoming leading wedding blogger, which is quite something!
I curate Nu Bride to inspire you, share planning advice and give you an insight into creating a stylish wedding that is right for you. With of course, a topic close to my heart – acknowledging black brides and encouraging gorgeous celebration of ethnic diversity in wedding media. To encourage the mainstream wedding industry to talk, think and act on how to be a better and more inclusive industry.
If you choose to vote in the wedding blog awards, vote with honesty.
If your favourite wedding bloggers and of course Nu bride have inspired you or made you smile in some way, I would be honoured to have your vote.
Stuck For a Category?
Nu Bride turned 2 years old and had a bit of a rebrand to celebrate in February, so I think I’m a little bit old for the best newcomer category this year, so if you’re stuck and can’t pick a category; Best Inspiration is a great one!
Voting closes on the 26th June!
Either way, thank you hugely for your support this year, I adore inspiring you and you inspire me to be better!
