Hello Readers! You know I like to bring you a little something different on Nu Bride…
Tonight…Wedding Boots! I had not heard of this idea either until recently. Take a sneaky peak with Kim of House of Elliot to whet your appetite.
Nu Bride: How did House of Elliot come into fruition?
Kim – House of Elliot: Well I am a committed Christian running a ministry and a Nurture course for new believers, this takes priority.
I first fell in love with the boots in 2008 because of their uniqueness and wow factor. As the business started to evolve I wanted there to be a bigger meaning behind the boots so made that commitment to XP Media to contribute 5% of every sale towards the plight of children in the sex trade . It is very important to me that we exit this world having made some sort of difference.
Nu Bride: What makes House of Elliots’ collection stand out from other bridal shoe ranges and why is this important to you?
Kim – House of Elliot: The bigger vision behind the boots is what really should be standing out.
You wont be able to find these boots in the UK as we are the only UK supplier of these wedding boots which makes us stand out from the crowd I guess. We are difficult to find in the search engines, but when the brides find us – they are just ecstatic and we have testimonials to prove it
Nu Bride: Who designs your collection for you?
Kim – House of Elliot: A small family business ran by father and daughter. We flew over to meet with them and discussed changes to the original design, improved on the quality of the ribbon and got exclusivity to the UK in writing. It was also important to me to meet the people behind the boots and to share with them the appreciation and countless emails thanking us for their stunning bridal wear.
Each pair is hand-made and comes housed in a British keepsake box tied together with the same double-sided ribbon to match the boots. First impressions really count. We want the whole experience to be pleasurable, from opening up the box, through the acid free tissue paper and finding the most exquisite footwear that takes your breath away (as one bride told me).
