This shoot is a delightful example of how you can play around with texture, colour and your environment to create something elegant and refreshingly different with your wedding day styling.

Inspiration behind the shoot
This styled shoot featuring our models Clarissa and Anthony was one of four that were inspired by the Elements of Earth. This shoot was inspired by Earth and Fire. The invitations were inspired by the location, full of trees and brought the wooden detailing to life.
The table-scape colours were inspired by colours we find in nature: deep red and plum berries, navy blue night skies, and dark green foliage. The same went for Clarissa’s makeup: we used a deep colour inspired by berries for lipstick and went fairly natural with her makeup, but still highlighted her beautiful features. We wanted to keep this photo-shoot whimsical and fairytale-like.
Re-create the look
To re-create this look you can use naturally inspired table pieces. For example, florals are a great choice for table centrepiece, as well as candlesticks and candelabras to bring the everything together with an elegant and classy overall look.
We also loved the deep emerald of the green velvet table runner we had running down the centre of the table.
For the cake, we used pieces of tree trunks to hold the cake and used fake berries to decorate the cake and bring in a pop of colour, while also maintaining the natural look in keeping with the theme. The cake we used for this shoot was dark brown, correlating with tree bark, and simple.
For the invitation suite we used gold accents on plum coloured paper and included some wooden and cork detailing. This beautiful work was done by Brittany of Farmstead Design Studio Another great look that you can recreate from the shoot was the use of furniture.
We hired a vintage couch and a beautiful rug! These pieces are harder to find, so definitely do your research on hire companies! But you can add a completely different feel to the styling of your day by hiring stylish pieces.
