Earls Court Mews London Engagement Shoot | Slawa Walczak Photography

Love is most certainly in the air today!

Meet American sweetheart Lauren and charming Gerald from Kenya, who found each other in the heart of South Africa.  This delightful Earls Court mews engagement shoot, captured by London wedding photographer (with an infectious smile!) Slawa Walczak , is simply gorgeous.

Lauren and Gerald met nearly a decade ago while they were both studying at the University of Cape Town, they have through mutual friends to thank for their union as they hit it off immediately.

Lauren and Gerald wanted to have a photo shoot in London to officially mark their engagement. Lauren travelled from the USA to visit her fiancé in London where he was studying at the time and arranged an engagement photos in some iconic London locations.

Slawa says: Lauren and Gerald were super friendly and fun. They were a dream to work together. We choose one of the Earls Court Mews was a perfect location I think, so colourful and stunning. One couldn’t tell the photos were taken in October.

Proposal story

We got engaged in August 2016 while on vacation in Barcelona, Spain.

Gerald took me to the beach, the he started playing me a slide-show video on his phone of all the photos we have taken together over the years. After the video was over, he got down on one knee, and before he could even say anything, I had already said yes!

In less than a year we decided to get married. The greatest part of being from two different sides of the world was that we got to have two celebrations, one in each of our home towns, America and Kenya and each with our own cultures and traditions. We managed to have twice the fun without having to do twice the planning, thanks to the tremendous help of all of our family and friends!
