I’ve been thinking about love and all that it means.
The many forms it is given and received. All that it stands for. Both its simplicity and its complexity. Its juxtapositions. The expectations and the assumptions.
Its beauty and its rawness.
Its power and its grace.
Its protection and its freedom.
Its frustration and delight.
Its strength and its vulnerability.
I started writing this a week ago and asked some of you on social media to share what you feel love is. Here’s what we came up with:
The hairs that stand up on the back of your neck.
The butterflies deep in the pit of your stomach.
Anguish, joy, sorrow and vulnerability.
Love is when you can’t wait for you working day to end because you can’t wait to share it with the one you love.
Love is sitting in silence and being 100% comfortable.
Love IS being in the present moment
Love is hard to put into words
Love IS from deep within. If you do not truly love yourself, it is hard to receive love
Love is endless
Love is turbulent
Love is real
Love is LIFE
Love is showing humanity
Love is what you do
Love is like an old comfy sofa
Love is my WHY
More love, less hate.
What does love mean to you?
Special thank you to Nicola, Malika, Emma, Cathy, Peter and Katy for your lovely Facebook contributions.
