So on Friday this happened! I had the absolute pleasure of producing a debut bridal collection launch for chic London designer; Rita Colson in front of […]
Dance as if nobody is watching, live like there is no tomorrow
The elegant luxurious simplicity of this wedding is just delightful.
The happy couple are childhood sweethearts and paths first crossed in Brussels whilst Elena was studying and in-between living across many continents including London and the USA, remained in touch ever since and decided to start their lives together in Brussels, but wanted to get married back in Madrid, where they were both born.

How we met
Víctor was my first love.
When I was a child I went to study to in Brussels.
I came back to Spain for my high school education. During the farewell party, Víctor declared his love for me and we sealed the moment by dancing to a song by Alejandro Sanz.
I’ll never forget that moment, I was shaking, my hands sweating, my heart beating so fast… (Nu Bride: How wonderful)
We were in touch for several years, until I went to the USA and we later we contacted via Facebook. I was living in A Coruña at that time and Víctor was in Brussels. He was my true love and we decided to start our lives together in Brussels and we’ve been here ever since!
Our wedding day was classic and elegant. We wanted a day to share with our relatives and friends. We loved every moment!!!
My wonderful husband chose to wear a modern stylish Tuxedo
I spent a lot of time looking for my dress, but in the end I chose Jesús Peiró due to the quality of the fabrics and the lovely designs. I love how the designer fuses classic and modern styles.
It’s simple yet classy. I call it the ‘Audrey Hepburn’ model. What I like most about this designer are the fabrics. No other brand has their quality. My gown had a bodice in chantilly lace with a heart neckline. The shash and the skirt are made of silk tulle. The veil was also in silk tulle.
I wore 2k diamond earrings and the renowned Valentino studded shoes. I have always thought of getting married in those shoes, but they were very difficult to find. I was desperate, but my siblings surprised me and turned up with them when I was trying my dress. OMG, of course I cried!!!
I looked for a MUA, but after testing 3 of them, I decided to trust the one I knew better, myself! So I did my makeup.
My hairdresser was Moncho Moreno. I decided to wear a messy side braid and I absolutely loved my hair!
Arte Floral Iris made my delicate paniculata bouquet and the flower arrangements.
We had a traditional marriage ceremony at a church in Lupiana, Guadalajara
Everything was special. I loved every moment of our wedding. Our loved ones with us, so many people… Undoubtedly, it was one of the most special days in my life.
We had so many laugh out loud moments while having our portrait pictures taken
My mother and I did the décor at our reception venue.
Arte Floral Iris made a flower cup for the signatures table that was truly amazing. My mum and I did the rest with production by Partyson
My mum designed big initials (E & V) with dressing room lights. She makes possible the impossible. The décor was casual, like a cocktail party.
The catering was too yummy by Leal Maese
We wanted our reception to be fun and informal and a great big party and had a jazz band.
Challenges and Triumphs
It was such a joy planning everything with my mother. She is the ONE!
One Tip to Other Couples
Take your time to choose great vendors. It’s so important.
Our wedding was perfect and I loved every moment and that’s down to relying on great vendors.
Thank you Dear Elena and Víctor for sharing your elegant and happy day with us!
