Today we are joined by the wonderful and very popular hairdresser, Bunmi founder and creative director at AVOS Hair, to add a simple dash of bridal hair sophistication.
London-based AVOS Hair strive to bring about a reality of simplicity and class within the hair industry, removing the grease, hairspray and myths that clog the industry.
Take it away Bunmi!
AVOS Hair in collaboration with Faces by Labisi wanted to create a simple but very elegant and timeless look for the modern-day bride from day to evening that she’ll be able to look back at and won’t feel her look was dated.
Whilst the common trend is for brides to wear their hair up for the ceremony and wear it down for the evening reception, we wanted to portray an alternative look for the modern-day bride. Be all shades of glamorous whilst walking down the aisle and for the evening wear your hair up should you wish, to reflect the new woman you are… poised and regal a newly crowned queen.
Create the Look
To create the first look our models hair was blow dried using Philip Kingsley PK Prep range, which consisted of a plumping cream, perfecting spray and polishing balm. It was then pin curled in order to create the bouncy, natural and voluminous curls.
Creating the second look was about keeping as much of the texture of the curls as possible so we opted for a low bun all back style using just the PK Prep polishing balm, in order to open up her face, showing off the new Mrs! The accessory paired with the hair simply gave the hair a bit more depth.
