One of the key elements I encourage you to consider when searching for your wedding venue, is your overall theme and how this weaves into the entire feel of your day. By consciously choosing to style your venue in a way that complements its current features, rather than trying to detract from or work against them.
This luxury shoot curated by the talented Afmena Events and captured by Beatrici Photography and Richvision Studios, is a great example of where tradition meets modern, in this elegant pink ornate setting at York House, Richmond, complemented beautifully by delicate finishing touches and elegant fashion choices,

I’m quite a traditional person and like to uphold very traditional values, as such, there are no surprises that I absolutely love venues with a traditional feel, rich with detailed architecture and ornate decor.
It’s important to enhance the beauty of such venues and not style in a way that will distract from what is already so stunning. This is why the design concept for this styled shoot was very simple, classic and elegant.
Even with glamorous details such as gold cutlery and ornate frames, the elements of luxury used within this shoot were always delicate. The warm red and pink complimentary tones really helped to achieve this.
Recreate the Look
Having low floral arrangements works quite nicely with an estate dining table setting.
Everyone around the table can appreciate all the beautiful floral details. The number of arrangements used depends on the length of the table, however three is usually a nice number if placed in-between, smaller floral arrangements can be used to complement the larger pieces.
For this setup, this was achieved with rose heads cut and placed into votives that can also double up as pretty cases for tea-light candles.
Rich colours such as deep reds can always be creatively subdued with complimentary colours such as blush pink.
To add lush elements, gold touches are perfect and this can easily be achieved through the use of table details such as the stationery, charger plates, accessories and even the cutlery if you really want to make a statement.
Textured linens are effective in enhancing the luxury experience and this was achieved with the use of a crushed velvet tablecloth and chiffon drapes for the chiavari chairs, perfectly complimented with a simple brooch bouquet.
It is accessories like this, the simple touches that pay attention to detail which helps to add to the overall feel of understated luxury.
