With my body I honour you. All that I am I give to you an all that I have I share with you….
Oh now let’s start the morning off with this beautiful tear jerker!
Tissues at the ready!
This classical black and white, beautifully put together film by Urban Cinematography made me want to get married all over again.
The tenderness and utter love that emanates from beautiful bride Jenine and her handsome groom, Leonard, is just a joy to watch. When they say their vows, you can see they 100% mean Every. Single. Word. The union of marriage is incredible. More tears! I’m off again! So stunning!
Jenine of Jamaican and Leonard of Ghanaian heritage married in an emotional ceremony on 25th July at the St Matthias Church Brentford, followed by joyful celebrations and some serious dance moves at The Hilton Syon Park. They chose Mati at Just As Planned as their wedding planner along with Urban Cinematography and Tom Needham Photography to capture their gorgeous memories.

We loved filming Jenine and Leonard’s wedding day. From the bridal preparations to the end of the evening, we didn’t stop! we use three wedding videographers to capture the action packed day on film.
This wedding was really all about their guests and close childhood friends enjoying themselves. It was a very special evening and we enjoyed filming this wedding enormously!
Their photographer Tom says;
Jenine & Leonard’s wedding day was full of so many magical moments.
A really lovely couple, amazing friends and families, outstanding entertainment, great dance moves (more in Part 2) and a really fantastic day from start to finish.
We went on a couple’s holiday in Mexico, Jenine had no idea of my plans to propose whilst we were out there, only my best man and our Maid of Honour knew.
Of course I managed to misplace the ring halfway through the holiday. After sheer panic and turning our hotel room inside out, luckily I managed to find it (Nu Bride: LOL!) We had a private dinner on the beach and the ring was brought to her in our dessert (chocolate and strawberries).
She cried for about 7 minutes before she answered my question. (Nu Bride: Us women, like to leave a good man hanging LOL! Ah, this is just lovely)
We had an easy time planning. The good thing about weddings, is that there are so many different vendors out there to cater to your needs. You will always find a way of representing different cultures. Inspiration is everywhere, you just have to look for it. The task is finding a way to embed that into the wedding in a manner that’s not overpowering.
Many of our guests were quite surprised that we had no theme, we simply chose what we liked. On reflection, we’d probably say that everything looked quite contemporary, Regal.
Mati at Just as Planned says:
Jenine and Leonard came to us with 2 years to go before their wedding day. I will point out that they are probably one of the most organised couples on the planet. They both knew that they wanted a planner to fully coordinate and advise them through the process. The Just As Planned team had a really fun time choosing the vendors and styling the venue. They had a very heart-felt and emotional service.
It was great walking into the ballroom and seeing our chosen decor and details, all together, for the very first time.
One of our favourite moments was of course being on the dance floor with our guests for the entire night.
One of the funniest moments of the day was definitely when we had to do a choreographed dance. Dancing is NOT Leonard’s strong point, so you could really see the concentration on his face.
Challenges and Triumphs
The main triumph was planning a day in which ourselves as well as our family and close friends enjoyed.
Top Tip for Other Couples
Plan well in advance, it’s easy to go for the first thing you see, but its always better to shop around. Having cash allows you to negotiate a better deal. Most importantly, it’s easy to be focused on ensuring the day is perfect, but just take time and enjoy your wedding day.
Jenine and Leonard, what an asbolute pleasure to share your beautiful day on Nu Bride. Thank you so much.
