Oh Christmas is truly my favourite time of the year (other than my wedding anniversary of course). Just love it. the atmosphere, the creativity, people’s kind and giving nature and the community.
I had the pleasure of being invited to a Christmas Wreath making workshop with multi-award winning florists Amie Bone Flowers who are absolutely taking the London wedding industry by storm this year with their innovative creations.
I have to say I spent most of the afternoon gossiping and giggling like a naughty school child, so of course I was last to finish. ( I did get told off for gossiping by Amie, on more than one occasion lol!)
There were many of my industry favourites in attendance including Nu Bride Ambassadors Elizabeth Solaru who of course provided some sweet treats too, and Urban Cinematography who were getting their hands dirty and capturing the event for us. The elegant Lisa Payne was also taking some great images for us. I also took advantage and had a great chance to catch up with colleagues including planner, Jenny of Platinum Raspberry Events and Joke (and her infectious smile), from Once Upon a Destination and many more. Pure joy.
What a scrumptious afternoon in luxury Mayfair. We were hosted in the grand ballroom, of exclusive private members club: The Lansdowne Club. We were well looked after and even treated to a little mulled pimms (delish!) and some delicious bites.
Team Amie Bone pulled out all the stops and decorated the effortlessly grand and art deco inspired The Lansdowne Club, with giant wreaths and gorgeous florals to inspire stylish and festive decor.
The workshop was led by gorgeous and very delicate Robyn taking her time to show us, with precision (and such speed) how it’s done. After a comprehensive demo, we were left to our own devices (with much-needed supervision from Diane and Vix – because I am a liability when left to my own devices), to create our very own wreath from a delicious pick and mix of creative decorations, including gold frosted pears, dried chillies, cinnamon, waxed apples you name it! PLUS I discovered a beautiful waxed Nu Bride red rose (which of course just had to form the centre of my wreath’s !)
The gorgeous Robyn
I love the Amie Bone team, ridiculous talent aside, they are so delightful to be around, so warm and so friendly, that was reflected in the great atmosphere they created on the day, a truly lovely group of ladies and gents to spend the afternoon with.
Gorgeous Amie. Look at that infectious smile.
Look at all these wreaths! Talented bunch aren’t we!
A rather lovely afternoon, blissfully therapeutic, the workshop really lifted my spirits. So lovely to be spoilt by industry colleagues, didn’t want it to end!
Team Amie Bone – Thank you for having me.

The gorgeous Elizabeth Solaru with her cakes and finished wreath!
Here’s Vix at Team Amie Bone showing me the ropes. Look at that concentration on my face! Catching flies too. Utterly delightful expression LOL!
FINALLY finished! with Amie Bone
