I have a scrumptious love shoot to share with you today, this one captured with vibrance from Paola de Paola photography featuring the lovely, fun and infectious; Lola and Koya.
Lola and Koya’s engagement shoot took place at the Southbank Centre in London (a rather special place for Mr Nu Bride and I – it’s where we got engaged!)
Photographer Paola’s attention to detail in planning for Lola and Koya’s engagement shoot was quite lovely. She specifically chose to search for a location for the shoot which would incorporate Lola and Koya’s wedding colours. Read on to find out more from Paola!
Lola, Koya and I clicked immediately and after a chat about their wedding plans we decided that the Southbank was going to be the location for their love photo shoot. I can’t emphasis enough how important this time is. I truly believe that this is the best way of getting to know the couple before the big day. After all, it’s the photographer who is going to record the amazing day.
We met at the Southbank Centre, a world-famous arts centre on the South Bank of the Thames. Cristina Pala joined us and did the wonderful make-up for Lola. The colour scheme for their wedding was purple and green, so I specifically searched for a location that had these two colours. I was incredibly lucky to find the perfect setting in the Southbank area. This is undoubtedly an uplifting part of London where the arts and culture shine through. The end result of this session gave the shots a happy, playful spirit, almost childlike.
Thank you Lola and Koya for the wonderful and fun time together. Ah, I almost forgot to mention, that I was nearly arrested. Apparently, in London you need permission to photograph anything. Next time, I might do an engagement shoot with my iPhone. (Nu Bride: Tee hee! Occupational hazard Paola)
